Volunteers wanted
Isle of
Sheppey nature reserve, The Royal Society for the Protection
of Birds (RSPB) Elmley, is looking for helpers to give up
their time as part of volunteer’s week.
Penny Sweet, volunteering
officer said: “Volunteering is a great way for people of all
ages and backgrounds to support the work of the RSPB and
share their passion for nature with others.
“There are all sorts of
opportunities from practical conservation work on reserves,
to helping out at public events and supporting our
campaigns.”
The RSPB was founded by
volunteers in 1889. Today, more than 14,000 people help the
charity by giving their time for free.
Volunteer’s week runs from
June 1 to June 7.
